- Choosing Horsepower

The horsepower of your fountain/aerator simply relates to the strength of it's motor. A higher horsepower motor will naturally result in a larger spray size (for fountains) and stronger aeration (for aerators)

In both cases, water flow rate will be increased as you go up in horsepower.

- Choosing Voltage

115V / 120V

This is your typical residential voltage and normally does not require any additional electrical components. Generally, there are limitations in horsepower and cord length when using this voltage.

230V / 240V

The higher voltage provided by these units allows a stronger motor as well as longer cord length to be utilized. They are also more energy efficient than their 115V / 120V counter-parts.

We advise switching over to this voltage if possible. If you do not already have a 230V / 240V power source set up, consider consulting with an electrician to guide you through the process for your specific application.
